Art Support
Parents work with the art teacher to place students artwork on the Artsonia website and in the hallways.

Auction
Auction is PTA’s largest fundraiser. It takes place every other year and supports PTA activities for two years. The next auction will be held in the 2020-2021 School Year. Any questions contact Michele O’Malley

Birthday Marquee
Displays student names on the north side of the Marsh marquee during the week of his/her birthday or half-birthday for a $5 fee as a fundraiser for PTA.

Book Fair
This event occurs twice each year, once in the fall and once in the spring. Students and parents have the opportunity to purchase new Scholastic books, posters, computer programs, etc. Proceeds from sales benefit the library and PTA.

Box Tops
Box Tops are collected and redeemed twice each year, once in October and once in January/February. Funds are utilized to support various school and PTA programs.

A family event that occurs on a Saturday morning in December with pancakes, crafts and a visit with Santa. Kids can buy inexpensive holiday gifts for adults and gift wrap their purchases.

Brick Sale
Students, families, staff and community members can purchase a brick with their name engraved on it. The bricks are then installed on the front patio of Ray Marsh. Proceeds benefit the PTA.

Chat ‘n Chew
Parent volunteers lead lunchtime book discussions with students in grades 3-5. This program helps support reading and comprehension.

Cultural Arts
Musical, theatrical, and other cultural art presentations are provided to students throughout the school year. The program seeks to enhance understanding and appreciation for the arts and support curriculum.

Dodgeball Tournament
Every year, Ray Marsh hosts a dodgeball tournament. A maximum number of teams are accepted and play in a tournament format.

Legislation
The PTA legislative liaison works with SMAC and Kansas State PTA to keep parents and staff educated about legislative issues.

Kindergarten Liaison
Events at the beginning of the school year to learn about the school and PTA. The Kindergarten Coffee includes coffee, muffins and a box of Kleenex on the first day of school. The Kindergarten Kick-off provides an opportunity for families to meet one another, share a dessert potluck and enjoy some games. The Kindergarten Liaison also sends emails to all kindergarten parents about upcoming PTA events and activities.

National PTA Reflections contest of art, photography, and literature for grades 1-6.

Restaurant Dinners
A fundraising program that offers families the opportunity to eat at local restaurants for dinner with a percentage of sales supporting Ray Marsh. Restaurants and dates scheduled 10 to 12 times per school year.

Room Parent
A parent volunteer who serves as the parent in charge of classroom parties, and organizing a year-end and holiday gift for the teacher.

Science Enrichment
Students in grades K-6 have the opportunity to do hands on science activities during the school year, including such activities as making volcanoes or dissecting sharks. Experiments are facilitated by parent volunteers. Each grade will have two experiments during the school year.

Senior Cookie Reception
Each May, a cookie banquet is held for the graduating seniors who attended Ray Marsh.

Students have the opportunity to purchase Ray Marsh spiritwear at the beginning of the school year. Items promote community and pride within the school.

A committee of volunteers provide lunch and treats during the school year for the school staff. They also organize activities for Teacher Appreciation week.

Talent Show
Students have the opportunity to showcase their various talents, including singing, dancing, and playing musical instruments at the school-wide talent show during the month of February.

Yearbook
The yearbook consists of classroom and individual pictures, clubs and organizations, and school events throughout the year. Students who have purchased their yearbooks will receive them at the end of the school year.
